Position Title: Music Studio Assistant

Pay: $16.00/per hour

We are currently seeking a diligent and motivated Studio Assistant to join our team and support our day-to-day operations.

**Job Description:**

The Studio Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient recording sessions. The ideal candidate will have a keen ear for sound quality, a meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. This role involves technical, organizational, and maintenance tasks that are essential to the functioning of our studio.

**Responsibilities:**

- Set up, test, and adjust recording equipment for both recording sessions and live performances.

- Select and set up microphones and other necessary equipment prior to recording sessions.

- Keep detailed logs of recordings, noting any issues or noteworthy moments.

- Report equipment problems promptly and coordinate required repairs to ensure minimal downtime.

- Wrap cables and set up/tear down microphones and other equipment for room rentals and recording sessions.

- Shadow recording sessions to learn and assist with various aspects of the process.

- Tear down and store equipment properly after event completion.

- Maintain studio cleanliness and organization, ensuring a professional environment at all times.

**Requirements:**

- Basic understanding of audio equipment and recording techniques.

- Strong attention to detail and a good ear for sound quality.

- Ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment issues efficiently.

- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate logs and records.

- Physical ability to set up and break down equipment, including lifting and moving heavy items.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior studio staff.

- Passion for music and an interest in the recording industry.

- Previous experience in a recording studio or related field is a plus.
