Investigative Aide
The Nevada State Contractors Board is seeking a full-time Investigative Aide and requests all interested and qualified person to apply. The position reports to the Investigations Supervisor in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, experience working in an office environment, ability to meet customer expectations in a positive and professional manner, and possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares correspondence, reports and other documentation in support of investigative duties.
Prepare and scan documents into assigned document storage system.
Provides preliminary review and routing of documents.
Review documents for accuracy and completeness.
Responds to general customer inquiries and calls.
Enters data from source documents and identifies related data components.
Answer incoming calls and responds to requests for information.
Performs general support duties for investigations department.
Willing to perform all other duties as assigned.
Graduation from high school or equivalent education.
Education and Experience
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of preparation of professional correspondence, including high level of proficiency in grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Ability to effectively and professionally deal with all types of customers.
Greets visitors and callers, handles their inquiries, takes messages or transfers calls to the appropriate individuals.
Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Clearly communicate, both orally and in writing.
Interpretation of a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Operates office equipment such as fax machines, scanners, copiers and phone systems and uses computers for spreadsheets, word processing, database management and other applications.
Ability to compile and write reports.
Effectively operate a multi-line telephone system.
Be well-organized and attentive to detail.
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word.
Performs other duties as assigned.
