Job Title: Assistant Peer House Manager

Location: North Las Vegas

Pay Rate: $12-15/per hour

Non-exempt position, Part-time 15-30 hours

RISE Homes is dedicated to providing transitional housing and supportive services to individuals and
families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Our mission is to empower residents to
achieve stability and independence through comprehensive support and a nurturing environment.
The Assistant House Manager will support the House Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our
transitional living facility. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe, supportive, and well-organized
environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a passion for
community service, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks with professionalism and empathy.


Key Responsibilities:

Resident Support: Assist residents with day-to-day needs, including coordinating access to
resources such as job training, health services, and educational opportunities.
● Facility Management: Ensure the facility is clean, well-maintained, and in compliance with health
and safety regulations. Handle minor repairs or coordinate with maintenance staff as needed.
● Administrative Duties: Help with the documentation of resident records, incident reports, and
other necessary paperwork. Maintain accurate and confidential files.
● Program Implementation: Support the implementation of programs and services designed to
assist residents in their transition to permanent housing. Facilitate group activities and workshops
as needed.
● Conflict Resolution: Address and mediate conflicts between residents or between residents and
staff. Ensure a positive and respectful living environment.
● Scheduling and Coordination: Assist with the scheduling of resident meetings, appointments,
and other activities. Coordinate with community partners and service providers.
● Training and Support: Help train new staff and volunteers, providing guidance on program
policies and procedures.
● Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies and handle unexpected
situations calmly and effectively.

Qualifications:
● Education: High school diploma or currently enrolled
● Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a residential or social services setting,
preferably within a nonprofit organization.
● Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and
proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and
maintain confidentiality.
● Personal Traits: Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping individuals in need.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
● Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Working Conditions:
● Hours: 15-30 hours, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
● Environment: The role involves working within a residential setting, which may include interacting
directly with residents and handling various tasks to maintain the facility.


Daily Duties:
● Provide clients with transportation to appointments and to the grocery store
● Collect program fees between 1st-5th
● Serve late rent notices and assist with applications for rental assistance, if needed
● Enforce cleaning rules for assigned days
● Serve house rule violations
● Document incident reports for illegal acts and/or altercations committed by clients
● Fix and/or report house repairs
● Take inventory on household supplies and essential items needed for households
